Producer and composer Jorge Corante formed Urban Authentic a multi-media music production company for film, television, interactive media, commercials and albums.

Jorge’s career began in the pop world at 17 years old, writing and producing the song, to you, featured in the 4 million selling album Spellbound by Paul Abdul.  Soon after, Corante inked a worldwide music publishing deal with EMI Music and went on to co-write and produce songs with a long list of illustrious artists such as Janet Jackson, Babyface, Robin Thicke and OutKast to name a few.

Consequently, it was the next phase in Corante’s career that brought his music to the big screen when he was tapped by Miramax films to write and produce six original songs for the hit film, Scary Movie 3, which grossed over $110 million worldwide. From there on, Corante continued to prove his versatility and prolific creative output by writing and producing songs for films such as The Town featuring actor-director Ben Affleck (Warner Brothers), Ninja Assassin (Warner Brothers), the comedy classic Big Mommas House 2 (20th Century Fox) and contributing additional music to Disney Television films, Jump in! and The proud family movie, for which Corante also co-wrote and produced the theme song, Right Here.

In addition to his work in film, Corante’s music production library has been licensed by various shows on CBS, MTV, Oxygen and E! Entertainment — and can be heard in just about every Episode of the popular cable television show, Keeping up with the Kardashians.

But songs and cutting-edge tracks cover only a portion of Corante’s musical gamut, as he broadens his career into scoring films, video games and writing music at hypersonic speeds for advertising clients from around the world.

Jorge Corante currently resides in Los Angeles, CA.
